Urgent Eye Conditions
Not all eye issues can wait for a routine appointment. If you experience any of the following symptoms, it’s important to seek care right away:
- Sudden vision loss or blurry vision
- Eye pain or severe discomfort
- Flashes of light or new floaters
- Redness with pain or discharge
- Foreign object in the eye
- Chemical exposure
- Eye injury or trauma
- Light sensitivity or swelling
Early intervention can make a critical difference in preserving your eyesight.
What to Do
If you are experiencing an eye emergency:
- Do not rub your eye, as this may worsen the condition.
- Avoid self-treatment unless instructed (especially with medications).
- Flush the eye gently with clean water if exposed to chemicals.
- Call our office immediately for guidance and same-day care.
If your condition is severe or occurs after hours, seek immediate care at an emergency facility.
